-Nimmanhaemin Rd. exploring: only 1 minute walk form the hostel is the main business street in western Chiang Mai.
Explore the charming house and decor shops, the fashion stores (There is a major fashion show and trading fair in December every year),
burger shops, coffee shops( Wawee Coffee, Doi Chang Coffee, Black Canyon Coffee and Starbucks Coffee ), night pubs & restaurants
( Monkey Club, Warm Up Cafe, Tawan Daeng and lots more..), internet cafes, hairdressers, laundry, and heaps more...

-Srinakarin Park:5 minutes walk from our hostel on Nimmanhaemin Rd to the south. Next to Chiang Mai University
Convention Center is a fitness park where people go jogging, walking or aerobics every morning and evening.
Meeting locals, get fresh air and enjoy fresh juice (15 baht)at the park shops.
-Wat Suan Dok(1372), Monk chat and Meditation Center: 12 minutes walk to this temple. Gives you
a chance to get direct experience with educated monks (The Buddhist university is located here). Get the answers you want to know about Buddhism,
the world in Buddhist light, a monk's life, and you can even learn and practice meditation.
-Prayom Market: 10 minutes walk to the south along Nimmanhaemin Rd. Turn right on Suthep Rd. to the biggest local market in western
Chiang Mai where you can find all kinds of food, fruit, drink and everything you could want at an incredibly cheap price.
-Wat Jet Yot (1442): 10 minutes walk. It was built to celebrate 2000 years of Buddhism in 1457 AD and the 8th revision of Buddhist bible in the world
(first time in Thailand) was hold here in 1477. The main buildding was copy from Buddha Kaya, the place where Buddha enlighten in India.
Chiang Mai National Musuem: 15 minutes walk via Wat Jet Yot. The great place to learn about Chiang Mai from past to present.
-Ang Ka-set Reservoir: A 40 minute walk to the most romantic place in Chiang Mai.. where lovers go to see Chiang Mai from above.

-Kad Suan Kaew, Department store: A 10 minute walk along Huay Kaew Rd. to the east. This is one
of the biggest department stores in Chiang Mai (the other one is at the central airport plaza). Superb shopping,
a food center, movie theater, a bowling alley, clothes shops, and a supermarket etc....
-Visit Chiang Mai old city center on foot: Only a short walk to the center from both Huay Kaew Rd via department store
(10 minutes)or Suthep Rd via park and Suan Dok temple(20 minutes). You will arrive at a moat in the old city center, then find out why people call
Chiang Mai 'The City of The Temples'.
'Wat Phra Sing (1345)', a temple with beautiful old mural paintings.
' Wat Chedi Hluang (1400)' with a huge Chedi (pagoda) from the14th century
' Wat Chiang Man (1296)', the oldest temple in Chiang Mai)

-CMU evening markets: A 15 minute walk. Every evening from 4 pm- 10 pm, there are plenty of street stalls
set either in front of
Chiang Mai University front gate or on Huay Kaew Rd or back gate on Suthep Rd. Interesting stuff at a local price.

-Doi Suthep Temple: A 30 minute ride up the hill to the west. This place you must see! As well as the beautiful and well maintained temple from 1385,
it has great natural surroundings and a panoramic view of the city of Chiang Mai.
-Huay Tueng Thao: 20 minutes ride. Place for picnic on floating bamboo hut or lake swimming.
