The House
-It is a 400 m2 house with 4 bedrooms, 5 living rooms, 6 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, a garden and a rooftop in Nathawan Village, Nimmanhaemin Rd; the posh area of Chiang Mai
-The owner found it too big for her after her husband pass away and her kids all grow up and move away so she gave it to let.
- The US government hired the house for 3 years for an ambassador who came to work in Chiang Mai.
-We rented this house in September 2006 and converted it into a 23 beds hostel with facilities and activities esp. for backpackers or like minded travelers.
The road, Nimmanhaemin
-This west side business center is full of shops, banks, pubs, Thai/Western/Japanese Restaurants... (There is a famous fashion show in December every year on Nimmanhaemin Soi 1)
-Srinakarin Park and Chiang Mai University convention Center; This is a place for relaxing and exercising. Occasionally, this is the place for trading fairs and graduation ceremonies.
-CMU Art Museum;Exhibition and farmer market every first weekend
-Kad Cheung Doi; (KAD is market) more than 10 pubs in this area including Tawan Daeng (Red Sun)the bigest Thai Country pub&restaurant in Northern Thai where they have live country concert occasionally.
The Neighbourhood
-Kad Suan Kaew Department Store; food centers, shops,cinemas, Disco Bowling, and the big theaters.
-Wat Suan Dok; Buddhist University, Monk Chat and Meditation Center
-Chiang Mai National Museum
-Chiang Mai University, one of the best Uni in Thailand, home of more than 20,000 students... which mean we are living among young, educated Thai and lots of facilities provided for them.
-Bus to Doi Sethep Temple, the must see temple in Chiang Mai.
