“I backpacked around Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia after celebrated the first successful year of Spicythai Backpackers. Lots of my traveler friend said Luang Prabang is a great place and it needs a hostel so I decided to set up another spicy hostel here. Spicylaos Luang Prabang had its door opened on the 7th June 2008. It remains the only backpacker’s hostel in town. I started a really big thing here not only for travelers to get a good budget hostel to stay and socialize but also for locals to learn about a new style of budget accommodation and to make a living. I only hope that when I leave Laos my local friends will learn enough to keep this place running as good as it used to be”
